Every half-hour, NESO publishes what the country is running on. When North Sea wind surges, electricity gets cleaner. So does everything made with it.

Our Coffee

We are a coffee roaster with a different shape. Every step that normally burns something — the roast, the delivery, the bar — runs on electricity instead, and we are pushing the roasting itself out to the places the coffee is drunk rather than shipping it from one central plant.

Roast on electricity, not gas
A ventless electric roaster with no burner and no flue. We watch Britain’s grid live and time batches into the low-carbon half-hours, so the same bag carries less carbon.

Roast close to the cup
Most coffee is roasted in one large plant and trucked out. We are building the opposite: small electric roasters placed where the coffee is actually drunk, in cafés, workplaces and forecourts.

Move it on electricity too
Delivered by EV across York and North Yorkshire. When we serve on site, the vehicle battery runs the bar. There is no diesel generator anywhere in the chain.

We roast every batch on a Bellwether — the world's first commercially ventless, all-electric coffee roaster. No gas line, no chimney, no emissions in the roastery. Just clean heat, precise control, and coffee that tastes exactly as the producer intended.

From the roaster to the cup, it all runs on electrons.
Our roaster is electric and timed to the grid's cleanest half-hours. Our deliveries are electric. And when we serve coffee away from the roastery, the vehicle's own battery powers the espresso machine through Vehicle-to-Load, so there is no generator anywhere in the chain.
