Our baseload coffee. A classic natural from the Cerrado Mineiro, Brazil's most consistent growing region, chosen to taste the same lot to lot, year to year.
It was everything a great Brazil natural should be: big body, low acidity, chocolate, hazelnut and a dried-fruit sweetness from the dry process, where cherries are sun-dried whole so the fruit sugars soak into the bean. Made for espresso, built for milk. Your flat white wanted this coffee.
It came with a story worth backing, too. The lot was sourced through the Café Delas Program: 100% grown by women farmers, with a portion of every sale reinvested in programmes that give women in coffee the resources, training and voice to grow their operations.
We roasted it at our roastery in York, on our smokeless, ventless electric roasters, when the grid was greenest.
