A softer side of Kenya.

This lot comes from Lot 20, a producer-led group founded by Sidney Kibet in 2019 to help farmers in Kenya's South Rift organise and trade their coffee independently. Instead of going through the Nairobi auction, they trade directly - and we buy it through Omwani, a UK importer built on transparent, relationship-driven trade across East Africa.

This one is from Nandi County, and AB is one of Kenya's screen size grades - slightly smaller beans than the famous AA, but every bit as good in the cup. It cupped at 86.5 points.

Forget the sharp, blackcurrant Kenya you might be expecting. This is mellow and syrupy, with orange, honey and black tea, then almond, marzipan and a touch of molasses on the finish. Beautifully balanced, and great as filter or a gentle espresso.
